Uh...Sorry for the absence. I have had a lot of work, and haven´t been able to finish some of my work on progress. This weekend I found some free time and decided to make a concept of Cleopatra.
I have always seen Cleopatra in the movies as a luxurious and over-embellished woman, but probably she wasn´t into egyptian fashion, as the roman and greek culture was set in Egypt at the time, so I wanted to give it a realistic approach. I got inspired by the tombs found at Fayum to make the image.
I am not happy with the result, but I like the design.

Uhmm...I had the chance yesterday to do this little painting of a character from a book I recently finished, "The Pillars of the Earth". Wonderful book!!

Alexandria

Last week I visited the exhibition that is taking place here, in Madrid, about the sunken remains of the ancient city of Alexandria. I got pretty excited, because I remind watching the tv show in Discovery Channel 10 years ago, and being able to have those pieces in front of me, was an awesome feeling.
By the way, I had the idea of painting my romantic vision of Alexandria for months...so I decided to start a few speed paintings. This one, 2 hours (damn, I need to practice)

Hi there,
Long time without posting, but I have been a little bit busy at work. So I couldn´t find the time to finish something to show.
But I had this picture I wanted to show u, because it started as a sketch, until I finished it and found out it turned out pretty cool...The idea was to do a jester, kind of creepy, dunno...weird idea. One year since I did it, lets try to find out time to paint it.

Another quick painting...I have little experience on buildings, so I wanted to have a try with a "Babylonian type" atmosphere.

Ok, one of the thing I love most about all the creative process is the "Woot! Do it again".
Take a drawing. An old drawing, if you can...Then, draw it again! You will see how much your point of view have changed about the original idea, as well as your abilities...

Some years ago I started a concept, it was supposed to be a turkish pirate. I drew it again, and again, and again. This is the final result, or should I say, actual stage, for being more accurate ;)
