Alexandria

Last week I visited the exhibition that is taking place here, in Madrid, about the sunken remains of the ancient city of Alexandria. I got pretty excited, because I remind watching the tv show in Discovery Channel 10 years ago, and being able to have those pieces in front of me, was an awesome feeling.
By the way, I had the idea of painting my romantic vision of Alexandria for months...so I decided to start a few speed paintings. This one, 2 hours (damn, I need to practice)

It is beautiful. you have captured the light and atmosphere of an idillic mediterranean scene.

It makes you daydream, and the scene catches you and won´t let you go.
